Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Document patient care plans, daily updates, and any changes in condition accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Communicate effectively with nursing supervisors, physicians, and family members regarding patient status and needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Florida required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Previous experience in a long-term care, rehabilitation, or hospital setting preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
