Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming) and personal hygiene.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, ensuring data integrity.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Assist patients with toileting, feeding, and range-of-motion exercises to ensure maximum comfort and dignity.
- Documentation: Maintain precise and timely patient records, including intake forms and shift reports, in compliance with HIPAA and hospital standards.
- Communication: Collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, and families to report patient status changes and care needs promptly.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and assist in maintaining a safe, sterile, and organized environment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Wisconsin required.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Experience: Prior experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required for top talent.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for patient advocacy.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients safely; good physical stamina required.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow complex instructions and maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient information.
