Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care during night shifts in medical-surgical units
- Administer medications and treatments with precise documentation
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care plans and patient assessments
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA
- Precept new nurses and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with day-shift teams for seamless continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active Maryland RN license (or compact license)
- BSN degree preferred (ADN with 2+ years experience considered)
- ACLS/BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience in medical-surgical units
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Experience with Epic EHR system preferred
- Ability to adapt to flexible shift schedules (rotating nights)
