Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide basic wound care and change dressings as directed by nursing staff.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions or concerns to the Charge Nurse or Registered Nurse immediately.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, surgery, or radiology using wheelchairs or stretchers.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Current and active Texas CNA License.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
