Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor and record vital signs, patient behavior, and medical conditions
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises
- Support infection control protocols and maintain clean patient environments
- Document patient care accurately and communicate changes to nursing staff
- Assist with medical procedures under RN supervision
- Provide emotional support to patients and family members
Qualifications
- Active Maryland CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 6 months recent CNA experience in acute or long-term care
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Clear criminal background check and negative TB test
- Strong interpersonal skills and patient-centered approach
- Reliable transportation for shift coverage across Baltimore
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights and weekends
