Responsibilities
- Delight residents with compassionate personal care (bathing, dressing, feeding)
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Assist with mobility transfers and ambulation using proper techniques
- Administer medications as per facility protocols and state regulations
- Maintain clean, safe resident environments and infection control standards
- Collaborate with RNs and healthcare teams to optimize resident care plans
- Respond promptly to resident call lights and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active Texas CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 6 months of recent CNA experience in long-term care
- Current CPR/BLS certification from an accredited provider
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for 8+ hours
- Clear criminal background check and negative TB test
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication skills and empathy-driven mindset
