Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics.
- Observe and report any changes in patient condition, behavior, or symptoms to the nursing staff.
- Assist with feeding and ensuring patients are well-hydrated.
- Prepare and maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients.
- Document patient care services accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas.
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented attitude.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
