Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with nursing staff, physicians, and patients regarding patient status and needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Document all patient care activities and observations accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Current CNA certification or a willingness to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs as required by the role.
