Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary needs and preferences.
- Respond promptly to call lights and assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure the highest quality of patient care and safety.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or completion of a state-approved nursing assistant program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced healthcare environment.
