Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Transport patients safely to and from treatment areas, operating wheelchair and stretcher equipment.
- Provide basic nursing care as directed by licensed nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment.
- Document patient care activities accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA license issued by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
