Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by registered nurses and physicians.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions and report concerns to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA license in the state of Texas.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Physical ability to lift and move patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
