Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Assist with mobility transfers and patient repositioning
- Support licensed nursing staff with clinical procedures and medication reminders
- Maintain clean, safe patient environments following infection control protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active Nebraska CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year recent CNA experience in long-term care or hospital setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Excellent interpersonal skills with empathy for elderly patients
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance record
- Pass background check and pre-employment health screening
