Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Provide safe and effective patient transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by licensed nursing staff.
- Document patient care activities, behaviors, and changes in conditions in the electronic medical record.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment for all patients and visitors.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing with the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and infection control protocols.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
