Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding) in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Report any changes in a patient's condition or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, wheelchairs, or stretchers as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not always required for entry-level positions.
- Willingness to obtain or hold a current CNA certification.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting patients (if applicable).
- Strong sense of compassion, empathy, and patience.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
