Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assist licensed nurses with medical procedures and medication administration under strict supervision.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infection and accidents.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status.
- Respond immediately to patient emergencies and changes in clinical condition.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA or RN license in the State of Illinois.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required; ACLS preferred for RNs.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is highly preferred.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (evenings and overnights).
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered demeanor.
- Physical ability to lift, stand, walk, and stoop for extended periods.
