Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status and concerns.
- Document all care provided and patient observations in electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
Qualifications
- Current, active California CNA License required.
- CPR/BLS Certification (American Heart Association) valid and up-to-date.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
