Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance to ensure patient comfort and dignity.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring them from beds to wheelchairs or using walkers.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by following strict infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status and care plans.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and assist patients during meal times.
- Administer medications as directed by licensed nurses and document all care activities accurately.
Qualifications
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or CPR is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for patient care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and follow instructions precisely.
- Physical stamina and mobility to perform lifting and transferring duties as required.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Previous experience in home health, long-term care, or hospital settings is preferred but not required.
