Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) accurately throughout the night shift.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by registered nurses, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Provide compassionate emotional support and communication to patients, families, and the wider healthcare team.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies, following established emergency protocols.
- Assist with mobility and transfer of patients using proper body mechanics and equipment.
Qualifications
- Active and current Illinois CNA License required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently in a high-volume, 24/7 care environment.
- Flexibility to work various night shift schedules, including weekends and holidays.
