Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established care plans and physician orders.
- Document patient care activities, intake, and output accurately in electronic health records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients throughout their stay.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
