Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor Patient Health: Observe and report any changes in patient behavior, physical condition, or alertness to the nursing staff.
- Assist with Mobility: Help patients move safely from beds to wheelchairs or walkers, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
- Medication Support: Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and assist patients with feeding if necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and logs as required by facility standards.
- Communication: Serve as a vital link between patients, families, and the healthcare team, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Supportive Environment: Create a warm, friendly, and safe environment for patients to thrive in.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED: Required; a willingness to obtain CNA certification through our training program is a plus.
- Compassion & Empathy: A genuine desire to help others and make a positive impact on patients' lives.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions carefully and notice changes in a patient's condition.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift patients (up to 50 lbs), and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.
