Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Document patient care activities, updates, and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing staff to ensure a holistic care approach.
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests to ensure a high standard of service.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine passion for helping others.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift/move patients as needed.
