Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assistance with ADLs: Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including toileting, feeding, and transferring.
- Communication: Report patient status, changes in condition, and any concerns to the Registered Nurse or Case Manager promptly.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all patients at all times.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and care plans as required by state regulations.
Qualifications
- Active CNA Certification: Must possess a current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant license in North Carolina.
- BLS Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Experience: Prior experience in home health, long-term care, or a hospital setting is preferred but not always required.
- Compassion: A genuine passion for helping others and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability: Ability to work flexible shifts and maintain a consistent attendance record.
