Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care during the night shift, including assessment, intervention, and evaluation.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and conditions closely, reporting any changes or emergencies immediately to the charge nurse or physician.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) to ensure continuity of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Respond to patient calls and alarms promptly to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN License issued by the New York State Department of Education.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, especially in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by the facility.
