Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) under the supervision of registered nurses.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Administer prescribed medications and document patient responses in electronic health records (EHR) promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Assist in moving and transferring patients safely using proper body mechanics.
- Respond to patient needs and emergencies with a calm, professional demeanor.
Qualifications
- Current, active CNA certification in the state of Arizona.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
