Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Observe and report any changes in a patient's physical or mental condition to the Registered Nurse or Case Manager.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current, active Illinois State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required for Entry Level candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus.
