Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to patients, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, accurately and timely.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding for patients with dietary restrictions or mobility issues.
- Report any changes in a patient's physical or mental condition to the Charge Nurse or Supervisor immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Transport patients to and from appointments or therapy sessions using mobility aids safely.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement individualized care plans and patient goals.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Ohio CNA License and registration on the state registry.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs safely.
- Compassionate demeanor with a patient-centered approach to care.
- Reliable transportation to and from work locations.
