Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive and healing environment.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, utilizing proper body mechanics to prevent injury to both the patient and staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient room environment in accordance with hospital sanitation standards.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care for all patients.
- Participate in training programs to enhance clinical skills and patient care techniques.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Current CNA certification or willingness to obtain certification through our sponsored training program.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods as needed.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to help others.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
