Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct, compassionate care to patients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Vital Signs: Accurately monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with nursing staff, physicians, and family members regarding patient status and any changes in condition.
- Hygiene & Safety: Ensure patients are clean, comfortable, and safe at all times, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Assistance: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and support them during meal times and medication administration under supervision.
- Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate patient records and care plans in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active, and unencumbered Ohio CNA license required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a long-term care facility or home health setting is preferred but not required.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and families.
- Physical Ability: Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting, and assisting patients with mobility.
- Certification: Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Attitude: A genuine passion for helping others and a positive, professional demeanor.
