Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse.
- Engage patients in social activities and provide emotional support.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required in the state of Michigan.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
