Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Move and transfer patients safely using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and infection-free environment for all patients.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic medical records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient needs and status.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient dignity.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to high-quality patient care standards.
