Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patient rooms are clean and tidy, and assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team, providing updates on patient conditions and concerns.
- Medication Support: Assist with medication administration under the direct supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN).
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with facility policies.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is highly desirable.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
