Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities immediately to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
- Prepare and serve meals according to strict dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the wider healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing with the State of Illinois.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required by the role.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or home health setting is highly preferred.
