Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Provide basic bedside care and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Document patient care activities, symptoms, and progress accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and physicians immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered California CNA license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR is required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
