Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and assist with mobility and transfers.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing staff regarding patient status and needs.
- Meal Assistance: Assist patients with feeding and ensure proper nutrition and hydration.
- Record Keeping: Accurately complete incident reports and patient care logs.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: No prior CNA experience required. Must be willing to complete required training.
- Character: Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; ability to stand for extended periods.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- License: Must obtain or be willing to obtain a New Mexico CNA license.
