Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report significant changes to the nursing staff.
- Assist with patient transfers using proper body mechanics and mobility equipment (Hoyer lifts, walkers).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with infection control standards.
- Document patient care activities, intake and output, and changes in patient condition accurately.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing with the State of North Carolina.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Reliable transportation to and from various healthcare facilities in the Charlotte area.
