Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring dignity and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Assist with mobility, including transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretcher beds using proper body mechanics.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition promptly in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or state certification (or active enrollment in a nursing program).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with electronic health record systems.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
