Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
  • Assist with mobility, including transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretcher beds using proper body mechanics.
  • Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Document patient care activities and changes in condition promptly in electronic health records (EHR).

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or state certification (or active enrollment in a nursing program).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency with electronic health record systems.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
