Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals assessment, and medical history documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth patient flow.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by physicians, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform clinical duties including phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic laboratory testing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment in accordance with HIPAA and OSHA standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA, or equivalent) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
