Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any abnormalities to the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Assist with mobility and safely transfer patients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities, intake/output, and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of the nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current and active State of Ohio Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, rehabilitation, or hospital setting preferred.
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a dedication to quality care.
