Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility challenges, ensuring safe transfers and ambulation using proper techniques.
- Communicate critical patient changes and concerns immediately to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments under the direct supervision of licensed nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Ohio.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict medical procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift patients safely.
