Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations) accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate patient needs, changes in condition, and concerns to the nursing staff and charge nurse immediately.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the RN or LPN under supervision.
- Document daily care activities and observations in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient dignity and respect.
