Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfer them safely using proper lifting techniques.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized patient environment.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Document daily care activities, intake/output, and patient interactions accurately in electronic health records.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State CNA Certification and license.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and families.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods.
- CPR certification preferred.
