Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
  • Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment.
  • Document patient care activities and changes in condition in the electronic medical record.

Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently active in the State of Texas.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and move patients up to 250 lbs.
