Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene assistance.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring, walking, and using walkers or wheelchairs.
- Administer prescribed medications and document patient responses and behaviors immediately.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and family members regarding patient care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with safety protocols.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Florida CNA License required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a diverse team.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient dignity and respect.
