Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any abnormalities to the RN.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Turn, reposition, and move patients safely to prevent bedsores.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient care records and documentation.
- Follow infection control protocols and safety regulations strictly.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient needs and changes in condition.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered North Carolina CNA license.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Compassionate demeanor with a patient-centered approach.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check.
