Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Move patients safely using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Document patient care plans, symptoms, and progress in electronic health records accurately.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the direct supervision of the nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and visitors at all times.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, patients, and their families regarding care updates.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required in the State of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift and transfer patients weighing up to 50 lbs safely.
- Experience in long-term care, home health, or hospital settings is a plus.
- Compassionate and patient-centered attitude toward care.
- Reliable transportation to and from work locations.
