Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Provide basic bedside care and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Turn, reposition, and move patients to prevent bedsores and ensure comfort.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Document patient care activities and changes in patient conditions accurately.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare team members.
Qualifications
- Current Kansas State CNA Certification (CNA-I).
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Compassionate nature and a strong commitment to patient care.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
