Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and empathetic CNA to assist our residents with daily living activities, monitor their health, and provide the highest level of compassionate care. You will work closely with our nursing staff to ensure our residents' comfort and dignity are always maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
  • Assist with mobility, including transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or walkers using proper body mechanics.
  • Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and assist residents during meal times.
  • Change bed linens and maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Administer prescribed medications as directed by the RN or LPN, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic care.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid California CNA license (or eligible to obtain one).
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers is required.
  • Previous experience as a CNA in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move patients weighing up to 250 lbs with assistance.
  • Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
