Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate personal care and assistance to patients in accordance with their care plans.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Move and transfer patients safely using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and families to update patient care plans and report changes in condition.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patient care and comfort.
- Administer medication as directed by licensed nurses and document all care provided.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Kentucky Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting and bending.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong empathy, patience, and a commitment to patient privacy and dignity.
- Previous experience in long-term care or acute care is preferred but not mandatory.
