Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, including proper positioning and infection control protocols.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient needs and changes in condition to registered nurses and physicians.
- Meal Assistance: Help patients with feeding and ensure proper nutrition and hydration are maintained.
- Documentation: Accurately document care provided in patient charts and electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Certification: Active and current CNA License in the State of Florida.
- Training: Completion of an accredited CNA training program.
- Cardiac Life Support: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is highly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand for long periods, lift and transfer patients, and perform physical tasks as needed.
