Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Support residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure their comfort and dignity.
- Monitor Patient Health: Record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and promptly report any significant changes to the nursing staff.
- Provide Emotional Support: Build rapport with residents and their families, offering a listening ear and companionship to alleviate anxiety.
- Assist with Mobility: Help patients transfer in and out of beds, wheelchairs, and bathtubs using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain Sanitation: Keep patient rooms and common areas clean, tidy, and free of hazards to prevent infection.
- Medication Assistance: Support residents with medication reminders and documenting administration as directed by licensed nurses.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Licensure: Current Wisconsin CNA license required (or eligibility to obtain).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- Compassion: Genuine passion for helping others and a patient-centered approach.
- Reliability: Punctual and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
